I spend more and more time at my makeshift desk these days. I have recently started an online business course that I am hoping one day will be a big chunk of my income freeing up more time to do the things I want to do. The boys and I are working on what they call a food forest, granted it will be small as we are on a small property for now. We have a larger place where we can also plant and grow food and will do so come next Summer or at least that is my plan. You will find affiliate links on my page, these are also to try to grow our income however the use of these will cost you nothing unless of course your buying things from said links but I will not directly take any money from you unless your buying something from me personally and I do have plans to offer some things myself as well as time goes by and we grow a bit.
My daily planner
My planner is one of those simple $1 binder journals you can pick up from any dollar store. White paper. I’m an obsessive note-taker and fill pages to the margins About one hundred pages or so and contain to do lists, rough sketches, and ideas for blog posts. Often times things are not written down because I will try out ideas or take care of business as it comes up. However more long time goals or things that we experiment with are more apt to be written down so we can gauge success and decide if it’s worth the effort for future reference.
Helpful Tips
There are millions of tips out there for homesteading by those more qualified than myself and can be found on Facebook groups and Google searches. I plane on sharing things I have found helpful over time and encourage you to share things you have found helpful as well!
Staying Organized
Who me? Organized? Some might tell you otherwise, but I do find it hard to keep track of our weekly schedule. You know: school, swimming, grocery shopping, tidying up, paying bills, weeding, remembering appointments and so on. Fortunately, in our house we all pitch in. No one person does everything. But we do tend to work together to keep things flowing as smoothly as possible. I have a small file cabinet and a 12 tab expanding organizer to try and keep everything sorted and in it’s place.
